In the Loving Memory
(Photography Series) "I can’t remember exactly what happened, I don’t think I want to. The feelings, those are what remains …I do remember how I felt… the love I gave away, how much of it I received and deprived myself of. It’s love I wish to remember. What about you? What do you remember?" The string of life of a woman with disability is being unraveled through moments of a mundane everyday life. A recreation of the emotional charge of memories being presented in a series of twelve photos, spread throughout a lifeline. A confession of an ongoing struggle to befriend oneself, the disabled body and everything that equals. A conscious reliving of the emotional complexity that defines the time of adulting. But this is not an admission of unhappiness. On the contrary, this is a study of crucial moments in the journey of accepting circumstances and situations. An effort to understand the spectrum of emotions that everyone might experience while growing up, what they choose to leave behind and what remains as a memory.
